Men's Volleyball To Face Johnson and Wales and Boise State

BOULDER (1/31/11) – The University of Colorado men’s volleyball team will open up their spring schedule next weekend with matches against Johnson and Wales and Boise State.
Colorado will play Johnson and Wales in Denver at 7 p.m. on Saturday Feb. 5 and will host Boise State at the CU Rec Center in Boulder at 1 p.m. on Sunday Feb. 6.
“We beat JWU last year in an epic five game match and we’ll look to do it again this year in the battle of who is the best men’s team in Colorado,” said CU senior Kyle Rhatigan.
The Buffaloes match on Sunday against Boise State will be the first ever meeting between the two schools.
In December, CU traveled to Cedar City, Utah to participate in a regional tournament. The Buffs finished fifth out of 13 teams in Utah, going 4-2 in matches.
Last year, Colorado finished third at nationals and will look to improve that mark this year when they head to the national tournament in Houston, Texas on Apr. 7-9.
Colorado will participate in three tournaments before they head to nationals: Feb. 19-20 in Davis, Calif., Mar. 4-5 in Flagstaff, Ariz., and Mar. 18-19 in Las Vegas, Nev.
