Men's Rugby Player Named Conference Player of the Week

BOULDER (4/20/11) – University of Colorado men’s rugby scrumhalf Sean Kilfoyle has been named the College Premier Division Western Conference Player of the Week.

Kilfoyle had four tries and five conversions for 30 points in CU’s 60-17 win versus Wyoming on Saturday. Kilfoyle’s honor is the first for a Colorado player this season.

The freshman from Denver, Colo., is also nominated for the national College Premier Division Round Seven Player of the Week honor with Chase Burge from Navy (Rugby East), Allen Alongi from LSU (Mid-South) and Kris Osterloh from Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo (Pacific).

Kilfoyle and the Buffaloes (3-6, 2-4 CPD) will close out their season on Saturday at 4 p.m. against the Arizona Wildcats at Infinity Park in Glendale, Colo. Admission to the match is only $6 is good for three rugby games on the day.
